A suspension shim is a thin metal piece which is used to make adjustments to the car’s suspension and ride height. They get used for fine tuning parameters such as camber and caster with accuracy; a crucial process that the car must undergo in order to perform well at different circuits. Typically, they get inserted between suspension components like the chassis and wishbones.
