Lando Norris secured his first Formula 1® podium at the season-opening Austrian Grand Prix in 2020, finishing third after an outstanding performance that saw him set the fastest lap of the race and capitalise on late track events to take the final podium spot. This result marked a major moment for McLaren, signalling the team’s return to competitive form after several seasons of rebuilding.  

For Norris, the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix remains a defining chapter in his career. It was his maiden podium finish in Formula 1®, achieved in only his second season on the grid and demonstrating both his pace and racecraft against the very best.
